Access and Privacy legislation

The Alberta Access to Information Act and Protection of Privacy Act, better known as ATIA, is Provincial Legislation that applies to all public bodies in Alberta, including the County of Minburn. This legislation came into force on June 11, 2025 and replaced the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP)

Routine disclosure and active dissemination of records

The County makes information available to the public by way of routine disclosure and active dissemination.

Routine disclosure makes information available on request, which is typically subject to fees, and occurs when access to a record can be granted without an access to information request under the legislation. As part of the County's routine disclosure program., historical details about a property's development can be requested from the Planning and Community Services Department through a Records Search.

If the record you are seeking is not available through routine disclosure and active dissemination by the County, then consider making an access to information (ATI) request.
