Pest Control
We have identified the following pests as priorities for monitoring:
- Bertha Army worms
- Lygus bugs
- Cabbage seed pod weevil
- Fusarium head blight
- Clubroot of Canola disease
The ASB conducts surveys for the above pests and posts all data from these surveys on the Alberta Pest Monitoring Network.

Beaver Harvest Incentive Program- CLOSED FOR 2025
Coyote Harvest Incentive Program - February 6 - April 1, 2026
The County of Minburn has been approved for funding through the Alberta Professional Outfitters Society (APOS) to operate a Coyote Harvest Incentive Program from February 6 to April 1, 2026. Eligible County residents may receive $20 per legally harvested coyote, with limits of 20 per week, 100 per resident/landowner and 1 participant per household.
Coyotes must be harvested within County boundaries, and participants must provide land location details and proof of landowner permission. Only whole, unskinned animals will be accepted, and pelts are not eligible for payment. Appointments are required, and coyotes must be brought to the ASB Shop in Vegreville for verification and paw removal. After April 1, 2026, the County must reapply to APOS for continued funding consideration through the Wildlife Management Fund.
