November 18, 2024

A Regular Council meeting was held on November 18, 2024, at the County Administration office in Vegreville.  Council approved the following resolutions:

Subdivision Application File No. 08-2024  

The Subdivision Authority approved Subdivision Application File No. 08-2024 regarding NW 3-53-11-W4M as per the required conditions of the report presented.

Deployment Revenue Transfer to Reserves

Council approved that deployment revenue collected from the 2024 fire season in the amount of $169,855 be transferred to Fire Reserves.

Recovery of Expenses for Firefighting Policy PS 8006-01

Council accepted the review of Policy PS 8006-01 as information and approved no changes being made.

Joint Intermunicipal Collaboration Framework (ICF) Agreement and Intermunicipal Development Plan (IDP) with Lamont County

Council approved the correspondence received from Lamont County and further directed Administration to prepare a Request for Decision (RFD) for the December Council meeting for decision.

Joint Intermunicipal Collaboration Framework (ICF) Agreement with County of Vermilion River

Council approved the correspondence received from County of Vermilion River and further directed Administration to prepare an RFD for the December Council meeting for decision.

Bill C-293 Pandemic Preparedness

Council directed Administration to send a letter on behalf of Council to the Senate of Canada expressing opposition to Bill C-293, specifically addressing the concerns of Alberta municipalities and producers regarding the potential impacts on agriculture and the economy.

4H Funding

Council approved Administration send a letter to both the federal and provincial governments thanking them for their commitment to 4H Funding for the next 5 years.

Delegation Request to Cancel Tax Penalties

Council denied the request to cancel tax penalties on NE 23-52-14-W4M.
