When Does the County Begin Plowing Roads?

The County plows roads when it has determined that enough snow has fallen or drifted to warrant plowing; this is approximately 15cm of snow, or when temperature and precipitation has created slippery surfaces.

Where a shortage of resources, or unforeseen or emergency situations prevent the County from meeting the timeframes outlined in policy, all reasonable efforts will be made to carry out winter maintenance as soon as reasonably possible, with priority being given based on the order of priority set out in policy.
