Does the County charge a fee for responding to a fire call?

Yes, the County charges fees for fire services to ensure we can maintain and improve our fire response capabilities. These fees help cover the costs of equipment, training, and other resources necessary to provide effective fire protection and emergency services.

If the fire was accidental and non-negligent, the flat rate fee is $750.

If the fire is deemed negligent, the fees are $350 per hour for each fire truck and $205 per hour for command and support vehicles. This is to cover the increased costs associated with addressing fires that could have been prevented with proper care.
