March 20, 2025
A Regular Council meeting was held on March 20, 2025, at the County Administration office in Vegreville. Council approved the following resolutions:
Subdivision File 02-2025
Council moved to conditionally approve Subdivision File No. 02-2025 per the recommendations of the report.
Bylaw Enforcement Officer Bylaw No. 1359-24
Council approved third and final reading to Bylaw Enforcement Officer Bylaw No.1359-24.
Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board Agreement
County Council approved to enter into an Intermunicipal Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) Agreement with Lamont County, Town of Lamont, Town of Bruderheim, Town of Mundare, Village of Andrew, Village of Chipman, and Village of Innisfree.
Policy Review
Council moved to repeal the following policies:
- Annual Safety Allowance Policy OP 9004-01-A
- Contractor Heavy Duty Equipment Moving Costs Policy OP 9010-01
- Basic Tools Motor Grader Policy OP 9012-01
- Gravel Truck Owner Operators Liability Insurance and WCB Policy OP 9013-01
- Application of Road Oil by Parties Other than the County Policy OP 9017-01-A
2025 STIP Program
Council approved to contract with TerraPro Inc. for the replacement of BF 01819, BF 75589, and BF 78718, with a total project cost of $1,555,332.00, including engineering, contingency, fish salvage, and excluding GST.
2025 Construction Program
County Council approved the 2025 Construction Program as presented at a total estimated project cost of $1,338,341.14.
2018 John Deere Grader
County Council approved the sale of Unit 334, John Deere Grader for $90,000 to Brandt Tractor.
Draft Agricultural Service Board Strategic Plan 2025-2029
Council approved the County of Minburn Draft Agricultural Services Board 2025 to 2029 Strategic Plan.
Health Care Providers Attraction and Recruitment Committee Funding Request
County Council approved the Health Care Providers Attraction and Recruitment Committee funding request in the amount of $7,325.50.
Regional Assessment Review Board
Council moved that Administration pursue a partnership with the Capital Region Assessment Services Commission (CRASC) for the provision of assessment review board services for the County of Minburn.
Extensions of ICF Amending Agreements
Council approved amending agreements extending the term of the original Intermunicipal Collaboration Framework Agreement (ICF) Agreements from 2024 to 2027 with the following municipalities:
- County of Two Hills
- Beaver County
- Town of Vegreville
- Village of Innisfree
Osinchuk Letter on RR 154 between Twp Rd 540 and 542, and RR 153 between Highways 631 and 16A
Council moved that Administration send a letter advising winter road closures will be reviewed prior to winter 2025-2026.
