April 19 - 25 Declared National Volunteer Week
County of Minburn Reeve Roger Konieczny and Town of Vegreville Mayor Tim MacPhee, have jointly proclaimed April 19–25, 2026 as National Volunteer Week, recognizing the essential role volunteers play in building strong, connected communities.
Led annually by Volunteer Canada, National Volunteer Week celebrates and promotes volunteerism across the country. This year’s theme, “Ignite Volunteerism,” encourages Canadians to “Find Your Thing” by engaging in acts of service, civic action, and community support.
Residents are encouraged to participate by exploring local volunteer opportunities and recognizing those who generously give their time to make a difference.
