The Cut Bank Penguin in Innisfree, Alberta, is a replica of the famous penguin statue in Cut Bank, Montana, which the film "Cut Bank" was based on. The Innisfree penguin, affectionately named Ernie, was gifted to the village by the movie's production team. The movie, which starred Liam Hemsworth, Billy Bob Thornton, and John Malkovich, was filmed in Innisfree and Edmonton in 2013. While the film was set in Cut Bank, Montana, it was filmed in Innisfree due to a grant from the Edmonton Film Commission.
