August 19, 2024

A Regular Council meeting was held on August 19, 2024, at the County Administration office in Vegreville.  Council approved the following resolutions:

Amendment to Closure of Undeveloped Road Allowance Policy PDS 7005-01 Council approved amended Closure of Undeveloped Road Allowance Policy No. PDS 7005-02 as presented.

Sale of Undeveloped Road Allowance – Road Closure Application

Council approved to direct Administration to start the process of the County’s intention to dispose of the undeveloped road allowance on Road Closure Application No. 01-2024 for less than market value.

Utilities within Road Allowance – Special Approval Request

Council approved ATCO Electric’s request to place six electrical structures within the road allowance for the Phase 3 rebuild of the 7L65 transmission line, as per the plans submitted. 

Conceptual Scheme – Block C, Plan 4185R

Council approved the Conceptual Scheme to establish a land use framework and plan for the development of Block C, Plan 4185R within the Hamlet of Lavoy, as presented.

Subdivision Application File No. 07-2024

The Subdivision Authority approved Subdivision File No. 07-2024 regarding Block C, Plan 4185R within the Hamlet of Lavoy as per the required conditions of the report presented.

Vegreville FCSS Funding Agreement  

Council approved a three-year Vegreville Family and Support Services (FCSS) Funding Agreement with the Town of Vegreville.

Innisfree Fire Hall Renovation Additions

Council approved the Change Order for the Innisfree Firehall renovation project for a total cost of $15,000.

Yield Signs – Intersection of Range Road 142 and Township Road 514

Council approved the installation of “Yield” signs on the north and south sides of the intersection of Range Road 142 and Township Road 514.

Council Procedural Bylaw

Council approved three readings to Council Procedural Bylaw No. 1351-24.

Elected Officials Business Expense Policy CC 3013-01

Council approved Elected Officials Business Expense Policy CC 3013-01 as presented.

Rescind Travel and Subsistence Policy CC 3007-01

Council approved to rescind Travel and Subsistence Policy CC 3007-01.

Tax Deferral Agreement – Pine Cliff Energy 

Council approved to enter into a Tax Deferral Agreement with Pine Cliff Energy for the 2024 tax year.
