June 15, 2026
A Regular Council meeting was held on June 15, 2026, at the County Administration office in Vegreville. Council approved the following resolutions:
County Council approved the Vegreville Hutterite Colony's request to install a culvert within Range Road 135 as per the recommended conditions.
County Council approved the use of County-owned property in Lavoy for the public Prairie Pickers Market event.
County Council moved to conditionally approve subdivision file #07-2026 per the recommendations of the report.
County Council approved a financial contribution of $500 to the Town of Vegreville in support of the Volunteer Appreciation Barbecue.
County Council approved entering into an agreement with Innoflo Solutions Inc. for the upgrade of the fuel management systems at the County's operations shops in the amount of $97,317.03, excluding GST, as approved in the 2026 Capital Budget.
County Council awarded the 2026 Bridge Rehabilitation Program contract to Formula Alberta Ltd. in the amount of $1,058,938 excluding GST, including engineering and contingency costs, for rehabilitation work on Bridge Files 1000, 1485, 71897, 81828, and 6554.
County Council appointed the following ARB officials from the Capital Region Assessment Services Commission for 2026:
- ARB Chairman: Raymond Ralph
- Certified ARB Clerk: Gerryl Amorin
- Certified Panelists: Darlene Chartrand, Sheryl Exley, Tina Groszko, Richard Knowles, Marcel LeBlanc, Roland Merkosky and Raymond Ralph.
County Council approved the 3-year operating spending plan and the 5-year capital spending plan as presented.
Community Recognition Policy
County Council approved Community Recognition Policy CC 3015-02.
CAO Bylaw No. 1374-26
County Council gave first reading to CAO Bylaw No. 1374-26.
Minburn Region Emergency Management Exercise
County Council awarded the tender to IStrategic for the amount of $22,000 for the regional management exercise.
County Council moved to submit the nomination as discussed at the June 15, 2026 Agricultural Service Board Meeting.
County Council move to provide a letter of support to Innisfree Charter School Society in their application to form a Charter School.
County Council denied the request to remove gravel from the undeveloped County road allowance as discussed in Closed Session, and further directed Administration provide written correspondence to the applicant advising of Council’s decision.
County Council approved proceeding with the Administration Building rehabilitation planning project with Premier Fire & Flood in the amount of $132,734.70 including GST, which includes the required design and engineering, hygienist, and permitting services.
