Operations
The County of Minburn’s Operations Department is responsible for delivering essential municipal services that keep our communities safe, connected, and running smoothly. Crews work year-round to maintain over 2,400 km of roads and supports the sustainability of 2,850 square kilometers of land. This includes road maintenance, drainage, utilities, solid waste services, recreation services, and the work of Agricultural Services, which focuses on weed and pest control, soil conservation, and protecting farmland and infrastructure.
Road work is a major focus, with 11 grader beats. Maintenance includes snow removal, sanding, grading, dust control, patching, and culvert repairs. Crews also install and maintain road signs, traffic control devices, and drainage systems. In addition to rural operations, the department provides regular maintenance and support in the County’s three hamlets: Lavoy, Ranfurly, and Minburn.
From fleet repairs to fieldwork, the Operations team plays a vital role in delivering the goals set by Council and ensuring our infrastructure, hamlets, and rural landscape are well cared for.
