Public Hearing - Bylaw #1359-24
County of Minburn
Bylaw No. 1359-24
Notice of Public Hearing
Pursuant to Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act (MGA), Revised Statutes of Alberta 2000, Chapter M-26 a Public Hearing is scheduled for January 23, 2025 at 10:15 a.m. in the County of Minburn Council Chambers, 4909 – 50 Street, Vegreville to provide the public with the opportunity to comment on proposed Bylaw No. 1359-24.
The purpose of Bylaw No. 1359-24 is to appoint Bylaw Enforcement Officers and specify the duties of County of Minburn No. 27 Bylaw Enforcement Officers. Proposed Bylaw #1359-24 allows the County to designate an existing internal staff member to take on the roles and responsibilities as outlined in the Bylaw. The County will not be hiring new bylaw officers at this time. The work of the staff member taking on the roles of bylaw enforcement will be coordinated through Planning and Community Services, although the individual could come from any department within the municipality. The primary responsibility of this role will be to enforce the Land Use Bylaw, ensuring compliance while supporting development within our community. This approach enables the County to streamline processes without incurring additional staffing costs.
A copy of Bylaw No. 1359-24 is available for inspection at the County of Minburn Administration Office during regular business hours at 4909 – 50 Street, Vegreville, AB. An electronic copy of the document may also be viewed on the County’s website at https://minburncounty.ab.ca/p/public-hearings
