A Regular Council meeting was held on February 17, 2026, at the County Administration office in Vegreville. Council approved the following resolutions:

 County Reserve Land Lease and Future Use

County Council moved that Administration pursue a maintenance-type agreement for Lots R and P, Block 2, Plan 2957ET, and further directed Administration initiate the process to remove the reserve designation on Lots R and P, Block 2, Plan 2957ET.

Vegreville Fire Services Raffle Sponsorship

County Council denied the request for sponsorship for the Vegreville Fire Services Raffle.

Alberta Lamb Producers Livestock Guardian Dog Best Management Practices (BMP) Funding Request

County Council denied a donation to the Alberta Lamb Producers Guardian Dog BMP Project.

Dust Abatement Policy

County Council moved to approve Dust Abatement Policy OP 9001-03.

Oiled Roads Policy

County Council approved updated Oiled Roads Policy OP 9002-02 to align with the new policy formatting standard.

 
Light Vehicle Replacement Policy

 County Council approved updated Light Vehicle Replacement Policy OP 9029-02 to align with the new policy formatting standard.

 
Repeal Policies

 County Council moved to repeal the following policies:

1. Emergent Road Repair/Gravelling Policy OP 9020-01-A

2. Road Improvements and Construction Contracts Policy OP 9007-01-A

 
Disposal of Capital Equipment

 County Council rescinded a portion of Resolution 2025-188 approving the sale by tender of Units 326 and 330 following delivery of the new graders and further approved the disposal by tender of two grader units, being Units 333 and 330, following the delivery and placement into service of the two new Cat 160 graders approved in the 2026 Capital Budget.

 
Borrowing Bylaw No. 1372-26 - Bridge File 72570

 County Council gave first reading to Borrowing Bylaw 1372-26 for the construction of local bridge file BF72570.

Elected Officials Business Expense Policy

 County Council approved Elected Officials Business Expense Policy CC 3013-03.

Regional Recreation Feasibility Study 

County Council directed Administration notify the Town of Vegreville that with the Regional Recreation Feasibility Study now complete and the project shown to be financially unfeasible, the County of Minburn will no longer be participating in the Regional Recreation Feasibility Committee.

 
2025 Financial Reserve Allocation

Council approved the allocation of $2.8M to the following Financial Reserves as follows: $1M to Bridge Reserves, $1M to Surface Roads or Hamlet Reserve and $800,000 to Facility Reserve.
