As of January 1, 2021 the Commercial Regulation for Weights and Dimensions have changed, allowing for a weight increase on local roadways that match the legal weight on Provincial roads. The legal weight has increased to 23,000 kg on tridem drives and 24,000 on tridem trailers unless a permit has been acquired.
