Hamlet of Lavoy Residents:
In addition to temporary water outages in the Hamlet of Lavoy over the next six weeks or so, a major outage will occur on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. This outage will include all water services within the hamlet. Smaller outages contained to individual blocks or streets will also be experienced over the next six weeks. These outages are a result of valve and hydrant replacement work taking place.
During these outages, discoloration of water will most likely be experienced upon restoration of water service. This discoloration is simply mineral buildup from the pipe walls which is being dislodged from agitation caused by high flow volume. Upon restoration of water service, run your water until this discoloration subsides.
PLEASE KEEP FRESH DRINKING WATER ON HAND FOR COOKING AND DRINKING PURPOSES.
The County of Minburn asks that residents remain patient during this valve replacement project and apologizes for any inconvenience during this time.
